I’m Kelly, owner, lead videographer, editor and boss lady of KAS Films LLC. I’m fueled by coffee, good music and capturing one of the most important days of a couples life!

So what got me into this field?? Let me set the scene for you. AND. ACTION…

After high school, I had no clue what I wanted to do for the rest of my life so I decided generals were the way to go for now. After a few transfers from colleges I was finally set on going to school at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park Minnesota pursuing their Video Production Degree. Why you ask? Because it’s the only class in high school that I can remember that I actually enjoyed. Now, about a month or so into the program I came across a wedding video thinking, “What is this? That’s neat! How cool would that be to film a wedding?! But no way can I actually pull that off!” Well, after some talk, I decided to give it a go and film a wedding, even though I didn’t own one piece of equipment yet! Don’t worry, I invested in a starter camera just in time.

I realized quickly that this was actually a lot of fun and I should look more into this. A few months passed and word got out that I wanted to start pursuing weddings. Long story short, 5 years later, here I am with over 150 weddings filmed, doing what I thought I couldn’t do, and have now turned it into my full time career.
